Cecil Ray Sowards 75, of Pikeville, KY passed away Friday November 11, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born March 2, 1941 in Clintwood, VA to the late Jim & Hannah “Gibson” Sowards.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters, Lou Sowards, Laura Sowards, Vanita Harris, Reba Sowards & Alpha McCoy, four brothers; Morgan, Edwin, Elmer & Oscar Sowards.
Cecil is survived by four brothers, Victor Sowards of FL, Harrison Sowards of Lexington, KY, Jackie Sowards & James Sowards both of Jonancy, Three sisters, Eunice Brown & Martha Keller of OH, & Wilma Jean Johnson of Pikeville, KY.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. Nov. 15, 2016 at the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Pikeville, KY.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville, KY.
