Danny Syck, age 64, of Upper Chloe in Pikeville, KY passed from this life Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born to the late Lawrence and Vera “Thompson” Syck in Pikeville, KY, January 16, 1953.
Besides both parents, Danny is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kylee LaShay Collins and one brother, Johnny Syck. Danny is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda Syck; four cherished children, Christopher Syck and his wife Stephanie of Elkhorn City, KY, Charity Butler of El Cajon, California, Lisa Collins and her husband Chad, Jessica Looney and her husband, Charlie both of Pikeville, KY; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Inestine Harvey and Daryle Ronning, both of Pikeville, KY; three brothers, Fred Syck of Michigan, Donny Syck of Elkhorn City, KY, and David Syck of North Carolina.
Danny served his country proudly in the United States Navy & United States Army. He lived his life as a devoted family man, a Christian man, and a jack of all trades.
The family will accept friends at Thacker Funeral Chapel Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 6:00 PM and Friday, January 20, 2017, with services at 7:00 PM. The funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM with burial following at Annie E. Young Cemetery. Brother Richard Meek will be the officiant of all services honoring the life of Danny Syck with DAV Honors observed by the Johns Creek Chapter #166.
