Joe Willis May 68, of Pikeville, KY passed away at his residence Wednesday February 22, 2017.
He was born August 24, 1948 in Pikeville, KY to the late Pinkie “Smith” May & James Joe May.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Margie “Goble” May of Pikeville, eight loving children, Sherry May, Lorena May both of Pikeville, Larry (Haley) Gibson of TN, Sarah Gibson, Betty Joe Gibson, Ricky (Kelly) Meade, Michelle Meade & Jonathan Belcher all of Pikeville, two sisters, Billie Jean (Loren) Deskins & Betty Jo (Ralph) McGuire both of Cave Run, two brothers, Donnie (Pricey) May of Pikeville, Terry (Angela) May of South Williamson, eight grandchildren, Brittany, Savannah & Courtney Miracle, Ronnie, Jeremy, & Austin Gibson, Shane Meade & April Blankenship, two great-grandchildren, Sophia Gibson & Aaniyah Shade, two special nieces Melissa (Dewey) Belcher & Donna (Thomas) Mullins.
Joe served his country proudly in the United States Army.
He was a treasure to his family and will be forever missed.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel Thursday Feb. 23, 2017 at 6PM & Friday Feb. 24, 2017 with services each night at 7PM. Funeral services will be Saturday Feb. 25, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with John Duke Nalskie officiating, Military Honors will be conducted by the Johns Creek DAV Chapter #166. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Pikeville, KY.
