Philip Bostic 94, passed away Monday May 29, 2017 at his residence in Lily, KY.
He was born March 18, 1923 to the late Henry & Pearlie “Thornsbury” Bostic.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lurcie “Norman” Bostic,
two brothers, Lawrence Bostic, Thermal Bostic, & a sister, Irene Bostic.
Philip is survived by his daughters, Vonda Sue Chapman & her husband Gary of Lily, KY, & Wanda Kay Jones of London, KY, brothers, James Bostic of MI, Jr. Bostic of IL, Hassell Bostic of OH, Wade Bostic of SC, Bennette Bostic of TN, Billy Bostic of Kimper, KY, & Harold Bostic of TN, sisters, Mae Hunt of Pikeville, Madeline Blackburn of TN, Sue Coleman of Kimper, Arlene Collins of MI, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren & five great-great grandchildren.
He served his country proudly in the United
States Army.
Philip will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 6PM -9PM & Thursday June 1, 2017 with services nightly at 7PM with Morgan Chapman & Don Lee officiating. Funeral services will be June 2, 2017 on Friday at 1:00 P.M. with DAV Honors observed & also Patriot Guard Riders.
Entombment will follow at the J.U. Thacker Mausoleum on Annie E. Young Cemetery.
