Glena “Sissy” Arlene Adams, 39, of Red Creek Road, Pikeville, KY, passed away Thursday June 15, 2017 at St. Marys in Huntington, WV. She was born August 23, 1977 in Pikeville, KY to Vonda Sue Stanley and the late Ireland “Buzz” Bentley Jr.
Sissy is survived by her devoted mother, Vonda Stanley of Pikeville; three children, Daron Collins, Destiny Adams, and Anthony Sullivan all of Pikeville, KY; one brother, Jeremy Bentley of Pikeville, KY; one sister, Tonya Campbell and her husband David of Addison, MI; three aunts, Wavelyn Stanley, Sandy Wright and her husband Robby all of Pikeville, Glennis Hughes and her husband William of Prestonsburg, KY; three uncles, Danny Stanley and his wife Osa of Magnolia, KY, Milton Stanley and his wife Delma and Bert Stanley and his wife Tammy of Pikeville, KY; three nephews, Dennis Blackburn and his wife Emily of Jerome, MI, Micheal Robinson of Addison, MI and Brayden Bentley of Grethel, KY; three nieces, Amanda (Derrek) Campbell of Cement City, MI, Hailey Bentley of Grethel, KY, and Brianna Bentley of Pikeville; two great- nieces , Caylee Campbell of Cement City, MI and Paislee Blackburn of Jerome. MI; two great nephew, Corbin Blackburn of Jerome, MI and Colton Campbell of Cement City, MI; one grandmother, Euretta Bentley of Pikeville, KY and her little dog, Ellie.
Sissy is preceded in death by her father, Ireland “Buzz” Bentley Jr.; maternal grandparents, Glen and Dixie Stanley; paternal grandfather, Ireland Bentley Sr; two uncles, Billy Ray Stanley and Randy Lee Stanley.
Sissy is also survived by a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, and friends. Sissy will be greatly missed, especially by her loving mother Vonda that has been faithfully by her side for many years, and her family.
The family will accept friends at the Sutton Baptist Church 5PM Saturday June 17, 2017 and Sunday June 18, 2017 with nightly services at 7PM with Scott Tackett officiating. The funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Monday June 19, 2017 at the church. Interment will follow at the Justice Cemetery on Ivy Creek of Chloe Rd.
