Ethel A. Coleman, age 95 of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Pikeville, KY passed away at her residence, Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
She was born January 6, 1922 in Pike County, KY to the late George Alexander and Dorthula “Julie” (Thacker) Worrix.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Luther Coleman & two daughters, Hassie Hall & Judy Fay Coleman, three sisters, Josie Pinson, Goldie McIntosh and Jeanetta Worrix, five brothers, Irvin, George Jr., Robert, Calvin & Wade Worrix.
Ethel is survived by her loving children, three sons, Alex Coleman of Indianapolis, IN, Harold Coleman, his wife; Liese of Versailles, KY, Dean Coleman of Fort Myers, FL, two daughters, Linda Vowels of Ft. Myers, FL, and Patricia Bowling, her husband Rick of Shepherdsville, KY; a son-in-law Tommy Hall his wife, Esta; one brother Luther Worrix and one sister Jettie Combs; she was blessed with seven adoring grandchildren, and many great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren, also many special nieces & nephews.
Ethel had many jobs in her life, she was a homemaker, factory worker, a business owner & she worked and retired from Dawahare’s, but the job she loved the most was being a Mom.
She was treasured by her family and will be forever missed.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 6PM, with a service at 7PM with Primitive Baptist Ministers, Robbie Worrix & Ricky Worrix & others officiating all services. The funeral will be Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2P.M. Interment will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery on Chloe Rd. at Pikeville, KY.
