Tony “Bear” May 72 years of age of Raccoon, KY passed away at his residence Sunday, September 3, 2017.
He had been a member of the Meta Baptist Church since December 20, 1981 and was diligent as a Prayer Warrior and loved his church family.
Tony was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds since 1962 and the UK Wildcats for many years.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and especially by his family.
He was born in Pike County, KY on April 21, 1945 to the late James Virgil and Alta "Goff" May. Other than his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his three brothers; Charles Dean May, Roger May and Randall May; two sisters Patsy Karen May and Freida Lynn May, & one nephew Kris Luster.
Left to mourn his passing are six brothers; Ronnie & his wife Blanche May of Raccoon, Cecil Radus & his wife Evelyn May of Raccoon, Richard & his wife Kathleen May, of Raccoon, Greg & his wife Menette May, of Pikeville and Tim May of Raccoon, KY, one sister; Lana & her husband Lloyd Luster of Raccoon, nine nieces & nephews; Rhonda Trimbath & her husband Charles, Vicky May, Ricky Wayne May & his wife Donna, Robby May, Patrick May, Shane May & his wife Tiffany, Eric Luster & his wife Carolina Fare, Kristin Potter & her husband Paul & Colby May. He left behind several great-nephews & great-nieces, two Special Friends and Caregivers Christina May & Frona Justice to mourn his passing and a host of other friends and relatives.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday 5:00 PM, September 5, 2017 at the Meta Baptist Church with a Singing Service beginning at 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Meta Baptist Church with minister, Bill Staggs officiating with Roger Blackburn, Phillip Murphy & Steve Harris.
Serving as Pallbearers are the Meta Baptist Church Deacons & Honorary Pallbearers are; Christina May & Frona Justice.
Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
