Shirley “Thacker” Haynie, 74 of Raccoon, KY passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at her residence.
She was born February 24, 1943 in Pike County, KY to the late Otis & Minnie “Collins” Thacker.
Besides her parents Shirley was preceded in death by one sister Kathy Thacker & two brothers Charles & Larry Thacker.
She is survived by her loving husband Scott Haynie of 55 years, one son, Jeffery Scott & his wife Anita Haynie, two daughters, Sharon K. & husband Joey Charles & Judy Carol & husband Kevin McDonald, Seven grandchildren & three great-grandchildren, four brothers, Greenie Thacker, Otis Thacker Jr., Roy Thacker, Bobby Thacker, three sisters, Alice Thacker, Patricia Bevins & Brenda Adkins.
She was a homemaker and a long time member of the Johns Creek Community Church.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and treasured her.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel, Tuesday at 6PM October 10, 2017 and Wednesday, October 11, 2017 with services each night at 7PM. The funeral will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Greenie Thacker, Bobby Thacker & Mark Justice officiating all services.
Burial will follow at the Thacker Cemetery on Upper Pompey Road.
