Martha Marlene Slone, age 61, of Shelbiana, KY passed from this life, Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Marlene was born to John Ray and the late Avonelle “Thacker” Ray in Pikeville, KY on August 3, 1955.
She is preceded in death by her mother Avonelle Ray & one son, John Wayne Slone.
Marlene is survived by her devoted husband of forty three years, Charles Curt Slone; her father John Ray, one son, Clifford “Hot Rod” Slone of Shelbiana, KY; two daughters, Nellrena Maynard and her husband, Bryan of Varney, KY, Amanda Ward of Shelbiana, KY; two brothers, James Reford Thacker and his wife, Alice of Shelbiana, KY, & Ronald Ray and his wife, Cheryl of Rocky Road; nine grandchildren, Mikeal Maynard, Benjamin Maynard and his wife Ashley, Nick Maynard, Taylor Maynard, Charleah Ward, Kaitlin Slone, Cammi Slone, Braxton Elswick, Deklund Slone; and one great grandchild, Riley Gooslin.
The family will accept friends at TMFH Chapel, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 6:00 PM with special singing beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Mike Smith officiating all services. Burial will follow at the Coleman Cemetery at Pompey in Shelbiana, KY.
